An overview of the FB Moderator app
The Quomy FB Moderator app is an amazing tool that enables automatic moderation of Facebook Pages comments. Its main objective is to delete unwanted comments and those that contain sensitive information. Comments can be deleted or hidden automatically based on the preferences set by the Facebook Pages. In case comments are hidden, they can be undone manually by you or your team members using the FB Moderator app.
One of the most useful features of this app is the ability to send a private message before deleting or hiding a comment. You can choose to delete or hide comments based on your conditions, and you can also decide whether to send a private message or not.
The FB Moderator app is packed with features, and we have grouped them into several sections:
Conditions
Conditions are the rules for automatic comment moderation. You can create a list of conditions that can be used for individual Facebook Pages to moderate the received comments.
Conditions have four parameters:
- Keywords: These are the words that will be modearted when used in Facebook Page comments.
- Accuracy: This parameter is used to identify the right comments using the keywords. How many percent of the keyword should match.
- Private Message: This allows you to send a private message before moderating the comments.
- Categories: This parameter enables you to group the conditions for individual Facebook Pages and categorize the comments.
The app uses all compatible keywords and identifies the condition with the highest accuracy before applying its rules. You can import and export the conditions in a CSV file.
Categories (must use)
Categories are used for three purposes in the FB Moderator app:
- To group the conditions.
- To show which conditions should be used for a particular Facebook Page.
- To understand the users' interests. When comments are moderated automatically, all the categories assigned to the conditions are also assigned to the Facebook user who made the comment. The assigned categories can be seen on the "Guests" page and the "Overview" page.
Overview
The Overview page shows the app's activity, and only the team administrator can access this page. The information can be filtered by a time interval and by team groups. The Overview page contains three widgets:
- Guests: This shows the number of guests who have been achieved by day.
- Total: This shows the total number of moderated comments, saved comments, and achieved guests.
- Categories: This shows the number of times a category has been assigned. The widget displays all categories ordered by assigned times in descending order.
Activities
All activities done by the team's members are registered, and the team administrator can see what their agents are doing by checking the Activities page.
Guests
The Guests page contains all the Facebook users who have created unwanted comments. You can see the assigned categories, basic information like name, and all the guest's comments. You can also export the guests in a CSV file that will include the guest's name and assigned categories.
Team
The Quomy FB Moderator app provides a lot of permissions to control the team's members' actions in the app. Navigate to Settings > Team Settings > Roles > desired role > Moderator for Facebook
Settings
The team's owner can receive notifications about new moderated comments and errors. The notifications will be a popup displayed on all pages until the user closes it or accesses the comment's page.
