Troubleshooting Errors in the Facebook Chatbot App
The Facebook Chatbot app is designed to offer professional services to its users, and error reporting is a crucial aspect of its functionality. When errors occur, the app automatically disables quick replies or bots and displays an error message to provide transparency and facilitate troubleshooting.
To customize how error notifications are received, users can access the Settings page and choose between receiving email notifications or viewing them directly in their user panel.
Errors are typically encountered when the app attempts to respond to received messages. Here are some common error messages and their meanings:
The bot is not available to send as a response for this quick reply: This error indicates that you have selected a bot as a response for a quick reply, but the bot is disabled due to an error. It could also mean that you either did not select a bot or the selected bot has been deleted.
The bot contains wrong parameters: Bots have various parameters that need to be configured correctly. If any parameter is incorrect, this error message will be displayed, and the bot should be reviewed and potentially deleted.
An Image element in the bot doesn't have an image: The app provides different elements for creating bots, including the Image element. If an image is deleted from the multimedia gallery that is associated with a bot, the corresponding record in the bot is also deleted. This error message indicates that an Image element is missing its designated image, and the user should select another image to resolve the issue.
A Video element in the bot doesn't have a video: Similarly, a Video element within a bot may encounter issues if the associated video is missing. To address this error, the video should be reuploaded to the app.
By understanding these error messages and their implications, users of the Facebook Chatbot app can effectively diagnose and resolve any issues that may arise. This ensures the smooth functioning of their bots and enhances the overall user experience.
