How to use Image Element Templates in Instagram Direct Messages with the Instagram Chatbot App

The Instagram Chatbot app offers the ability to set an image template as an automatic response in direct messages. This image template is based on a quick reply, where if a message meets the specified conditions, an image will be sent.

An image template can be created with just an image or with additional elements such as a title and a button below the title.

Before creating an image template, it's important to note that templates with buttons are not supported on the Instagram website. Only users accessing Instagram via the mobile app will be able to see images with buttons. However, if you use an image without a button, it will be displayed on both the mobile app and the browser.

Here's how you can use an image element template:

  1. Open the Instagram Chatbot app.
  2. Access the appropriate Bot from the Bots section.
  3. Click on Elements > drag&drop Image. Specify the image you want to use in the template.
  4. Optionally, add a title and a button below the title to provide additional context or call-to-action.
  5. Save the image element template.
  6. Create or select a quick reply with that bot that will trigger the image template.

Once the image element template is set up, whenever a user's message matches the quick reply condition, the Instagram Chatbot app will automatically send the designated image template as a response in the direct message.
