How to diagnose why the posts from a RSS Feed weren't posted on social networks
The AI & Social Poster app was created with the goal to help the user to understand if there is a problem in the sharing of the posts. It saves multiple kind of messages when publishes the posts.
There could be multiple reasons why the posts from a RSS feed aren't sharing as expected. To understand what is wrong, the user should check the RSS History page.
In the RSS History page the user should search for the message: The RSS Feed was checked for new posts.
This messages says that cron job works correctly.
Second message in the RSS History post should be: A RSS post is ready to be published. This message says that a RSS post was found and it meets all rules to be published.
If the second message is missing means there is one of these errors:
RSS Feed cannot be read - you could verify this in the Preview tab.
- The post has no at least one of the required fields: title, description, image or post's link.
- There is no posts which weren't published.
- There is no selected accounts for posting.
- The selected post doesn't meet the RSS Feed filters (Publish and Don't publish rules) - https://quomy.com/support_articles/how-to-connect-a-rss-feed-for-social-posting-and-post-from-rss-feed
- The post data wasn't saved correctly in the database. Contact us in this case.
Third message in the RSS History tab should be: The post was published successfully or The RSS post was not published successfully in all selected accounts or The post wasn't published successfully.
If you're seeing the third message, means the
error is not on the RSS feed side. You should open the unpublished post's page for
more details.
