Guests and data collection in the Instagram Chatbot App
In the Instagram Chatbot app, every Instagram user who sends a direct message to a connected Instagram account is saved as a guest. Various types of data are collected for each guest to enhance their profile.
The data collected for a guest includes the following:
User Identification: If the Instagram user has a professional account, their username is saved. Otherwise, their user ID is stored.
Contact Information: If the guest provides phone numbers or email addresses in their messages, this information is also saved.
Assigned Categories: Each guest's profile includes the assigned categories associated with their interaction.
If an Instagram user contacts multiple Instagram accounts, separate conversation threads are saved in distinct lists within the app. These conversations can be accessed and managed on the guest's page.
Guest data can be exported in a CSV file, which includes the following fields:
- User ID from the Instagram Chatbot app
- Instagram username
- All email addresses associated with the guest (if guest share it)
- All phone numbers shared by the guest
- All assigned categories linked to the guest's profile
