An overview of Facebook Metrics in the Social Analytics app

Posting Time

Posting Time is the name of the metric in the Facebook platform (in the Social Analytics app), which shows the hours when your posts should be published to get the maximum audience.

The information isn't collected in real time. When the user connects a Facebook Page anywhere in the system, the Social Analytics app starts to process the published posts and discovers which posts have got the highest number of engagements, clicks and impressions. And based on the results it shows the hours with the best visibility.

The app just collects the data from the previous day posts. The data is saved in the database and the user could use the date picker to see which hours are popular in the interested time interval. 

The data collected by the Posting Time metric can be exported in a CSV file, as PDF and it has support for the email template.

Popular Posts

Popular Posts is the name of the metric in the Facebook platform (in Social Analytics app), which shows the top 5 most popular posts in a Facebook Page. If multiple Facebook Pages are selected, the metric will show totally 5 posts from all selected Facebook Pages.

This metric takes a lot of time to load the posts from Facebook. For this reason, it parses the last 100 posts by default.

The metric displays the post message, post's cover if available, the number of impressions, clicks and engagements.

The most popular posts can be exported in a CSV or PDF file.

Overall Performance

Overall Performance is the name of the metric in the Facebook platform (in the Social Analytics app), which shows general insights about the selected Facebook Pages and their posts.

Overall Performance shows:

• Pages Fans - the number of the fans from all Facebook Pages and the number of increases or decreases for the selected time period.
  
• Pages Impressions - shows the number of impressions achieved in the selected time period.
  
• Pages Views - shows the number of views achieved in the selected time period.
  
• Pages Engagements - shows the number of engagements achieved in the selected time period.
  
• Pages Clicks - shows the number of clicks achieved in the selected time period.
  
• Pages Mentions - shows how many times your pages were tagged in the selected time period.
  
• Pages Actions - shows the number of actions done in your selected Facebook Pages.
  
• Negative Actions - number of times people took a negative action (e.g., un-liked or hid a post).
  
• Posts Impressions - shows the number of impressions for posts achieved in the selected time period.
  
• Posts Engagements - shows the number of engagements for posts achieved in the selected time period.
  
• Referrals Users - shows the logged-in Page visit counts (unique users) by referral source.
  
• Video Views - shows how many times your videos were watched.

The Overall Performance metric can be received by email, exported in a CSV or PDF file.

Recent Posts

Recent Posts is the name of a metric in the Facebook platform (in the Social Analytics app) which allows to see the last 5 posts from a Facebook Page and see the insights. It allows even to select multiple Facebook Pages, but in this case it will select the 5 last most popular posts from all selected pages.

The metric displays the post message, post's cover if available, the number of impressions, clicks and engagements.

The most popular posts could be exported in a CSV or PDF file.

This metric is updated one time in the day.

Pages Fans

Pages Fans is a metric in the Overview page which shows the page fans for the selected Facebook Pages. This metric shows by day the number of achieved and lost fans, total percentage of achieved or lost fans in a selected time interval and shows total number of fans.

This metric can be exported in a CSV or PDF file. It has support even for email template.

Pages Impressions

Pages Impressions is a metric (for Facebook Pages) in the Overview page which shows information about the pages impressions. 

This metric shows:

• Total number of impressions in the selected time period.
  
• The percentage for achieved or lost impressions.
  
• By day shows achieved impressions or lost impressions comparing with the previous day.

The Pages Impressions metric can be exported in CSV and PDF files. Has support for email.

Pages Engagements

Pages Engagements is a metric (for Facebook Pages) in the Overview page which shows information about the pages engagements. 

This metric shows:

• Total number of engagements in the selected time period.
  
• The percentage for achieved or lost engagements.
  
• The achieved engagements or the lost engagements comparing with the previous day.

The Pages Engagements metric can be exported in CSV and PDF files, has support for email.

Pages Views

Pages Views is a metric for Facebook Pages) in the Overview page which shows information about the pages views. 

This metric shows:

• Total number of views in the selected time period.
  
• The percentage for achieved or lost views.
  
• By day shows achieved views or lost views comparing with the previous day.

The Pages Views metric can be exported in CSV and PDF files, has support for email.

Pages Video Views

Pages Video Views is a metric (for Facebook Pages) in the Overview page which shows information about the video views. 

This metric shows:

• Total number of views in the selected time period.
  
• The percentage for achieved or lost views.
  
• The achieved views or the lost views compared to the previous day.

The Pages Video Views metric can be exported in CSV and PDF files. Has support for email.

Posts Insights

Posts Insights is a metric for Facebook Pages which can be found in the Overview page. This metric shows the posts insights in a large widget. 

Posts Insights shows:

• Posts Impressions - posts impressions by days.
  
• Posts Engagements - posts engagements by days.
  

The insights could be filtered by type. 

This metric can be exported in a CSV or PDF file. It has support for the Newsletter emails.
